Noise impact studies for plants, construction sites and events

"Lärmschutz ist kein Zufall, sondern das Ergebnis präziser Analyse und sorgfältiger Bewertung."
"Noise protection is not an accident, but the result of precise analysis and careful evaluation."

Konstantin Rohr | Managing Director of Safety Group S.à.r.l.

At the Safety Group S.à.r.l. We understand this and offer you our expertise in creating noise impact studies for industrial sites, construction sites, and events in Luxembourg. Since December 2025, we have had official approval from the Luxembourg Ministry of the Environment to carry out these studies in compliance with the law.

The focus is on the protection of people and the environment. Our services include the measurement, calculation, and assessment of all relevant noise emissions to ensure that legal limits are adhered to and that no unreasonable burdens are created. We are committed to ensuring that all parties involved understand and comply with legal requirements to guarantee safe and responsible project implementation.

Professional assessment of sound emissions

Information for project sponsors

In accordance with the requirements of the Luxembourg Ministry of the Environment and the EU Environmental Noise Directive, noise impact studies are mandatory whenever projects are likely to cause significant noise emissions.

This particularly concerns:

  • Facilities and technical installations
  • Construction sites and temporary work areas
  • Events with a high noise level
  • Industrial and commercial projects
  • Infrastructure measures

The project sponsor bears full responsibility for complying with statutory noise limits. Our role is to assist you in correctly implementing these requirements.

Legal requirements

The creation of noise impact studies is carried out according to the official „Guide to the Creation of Noise Impact Studies for Facilities and Construction Sites“ of the Luxembourg Ministry of the Environment.

This guide defines:

  • Valuation procedure
  • Calculation Methods
  • Documentation Requirements
  • Limit values and evaluation criteria

As an authorised service provider, we ensure that every study is completed comprehensively, demonstrably and in compliance with ministerial requirements.

Planning phase

For your project, we are creating:

  • Capture of all relevant sound sources
  • Sound propagation calculations
  • Assessment of expected noise emissions
  • Documentation in accordance with the guidelines and ministerial requirements
  • Recommendations for noise reduction
