Construction site safety kit

So that safety on construction sites is no accident

"Sicherheit auf Baustellen ist kein Zufall, sondern das Ergebnis strukturierter Planung und konsequenter Koordination."
"Safety on construction sites is not by chance, but the result of structured planning and consistent coordination."

Konstantin Rohr | Health and Safety Coordinator

At the Safety Group S.à r.l. We understand the specific requirements of construction sites and support you as a Safety and Health Coordinator (SiGeKo) in accordance with the Construction Site Ordinance throughout all project phases.

Central to our work is overarching occupational safety. Our SiGeKo (Safety and Health Coordinator) services encompass the planning, monitoring, and coordination of all safety and health protection measures to ensure that the activities of different employers do not endanger each other. We ensure that legal requirements are met and that safe working conditions are created for everyone involved.

Health and safety coordination for construction projects

Information for developers and clients

In accordance with the Construction Site Ordinance (BaustellV), the client is obliged to take appropriate measures for the coordination of occupational safety as soon as several employers are active on a construction site simultaneously or successively.

This applies regardless of the size of the construction project, from smaller renovations to complex large-scale sites. The responsibility for organising health and safety protection always remains with the client, but can be delegated to a construction site coordinator for professional oversight.

The SiGeKo supports the client in fulfilling their legal obligations and minimising liability risks.

Legal requirements

The activities of the health and safety coordinator are based, among other things, on:

  • Construction Site Regulation (BaustellV)
  • Workplace Safety Act (ArbSchG)
  • Workplace Regulations (ArbStättV)
  • Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health

According to §3 of the Construction Site Ordinance, the client is obliged to appoint a health and safety coordinator for the planning and execution phases, provided the conditions are met.

Planning phase

From the planning phase, we lay the groundwork for a safe building site. For your construction project, we create:

  • Site regulations
  • Health and Safety Plan (SiGe-Plan)
  • Construction Site Notice (Information and Warning Signs)
  • Planning of Particularly Dangerous Work

The objective is to identify hazards early and define appropriate protective measures.

Consultancy before and during construction.

We actively and practically support your construction project – from preparation to implementation:

  • Consultation and Coordination
We support property developers, planners, and contractors in coordinating safety-relevant processes.
  • Review of training materials
We ensure that all instructions are complete and have been tailored to the respective trades.
  • Review of operating instructions
We check that the required operating instructions are available and are correctly implemented.
  • Site inspections
We carry out regular site inspections, check compliance with established safety measures and issue specific recommendations for action where necessary.
  • Coordination of trades
We ensure smooth and safe cooperation between all companies involved on the construction site.

With Safety Group by your side, you create the foundation for a safe, compliant, and efficient construction process. Feel free to contact us early on.
