Stand accreditation for safe events

"Verantwortungsvolle Besuchersicherheit beginnt mit einer konsequenten Standabnahme."
"Responsible visitor safety starts with consistent stand inspection."

Konstantin Rohr | Managing Director of Safety Group S.à.r.l.

At the Safety Group S.à.r.l. the safety of your visitors is paramount. Our task, as part of the stand inspection, is to ensure that all exhibitor stands comply with the applicable safety requirements and do not pose a hazard to visitors, staff, or other exhibitors.

We carefully inspect stands, document any deviations, and actively support stand operators in implementing necessary measures. This way, we collectively create a safe and smooth event.

Safety for exhibitors, visitors, and organisers

Information for project sponsors

In accordance with the requirements of the Theatres and Assembly Venues Ordinance (VStättVO), DGUV Regulation 17/18, alongside the general rules of occupational safety, the organiser is obliged to ensure that all stands comply with the technical and organisational safety requirements.

This includes, in particular:

  • the provision of tested fire extinguishers
  • compliance with fire safety and escape route requirements
  • the safe use of gas installations
  • the provision of first-aid equipment
  • training of stand personnel in the event of an emergency

As the organiser, you bear the overall responsibility; we will support you in fulfilling this responsibility professionally and legally.

Legal requirements

The stand inspection is a central component of event organisation. It serves to implement various legal requirements, including:

  • Assembly Venue Ordinance (VStättVO)
  • DGUV Regulation 17/18
  • Technical Rules for Workplaces (ASR)
  • Local authority fire safety regulations
  • Venue-specific requirements

Our task is to review, interpret, and implement these specifications for you in practice.

Our services for stand inspection

We systematically check exhibition stands for safety-relevant defects, document deviations, and support the rapid implementation of necessary measures.

Safety inspection of the stands

We check every stall for potential hazards, including:
  • Are there sufficient fire extinguishers and are they validly inspected?
  • Is a valid gas safety check in place (if gas is used)?
  • Are first-aid kits available and complete?
  • Are electrical installations safe and properly laid?
  • Are escape and rescue routes clear and correctly signposted?
  • Are there any trip hazards, fire loads or other sources of danger?

Fire safety inspection

We are checking:
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Fire loads
  • Distances from neighbouring stands
  • Use of open flames or hot work
  • Compliance with fire safety regulations

First-aid kit

We ensure that:
  • First-aid equipment is available and accessible
  • The stand staff know where first-aid points are located
  • Emergency call and reporting routes are clearly communicated

Action guides for stand operators and employees

We create compact, easy-to-understand action guides with the most important information:
  • Communication channels in event operations
  • Verhalten im Notfall
  • Behaviour in case of fire
  • Conduct in medical emergencies
  • Local contact person
  • Reporting channels and emergency numbers
These documents can be used as a notice, a PDF, or training material.
